After our new camera strap with the Peak Design quick release, we obviously cannot neglect what we stand for! New design, same quality, more safety and even more vintage. This is our new leather camera strap with a vintage look thanks to the rivets and leather.
The processing
After the leather has been cut, all edges are rounded and sealed. The piece of leather that is used to attach the quick release is also processed so that it resembles the rest of the leather edge of the camera strap. As a small innovation compared to the other camera straps, this piece is thinned at the side where it meets the ring.
Once all the leather parts are free of grease, the ends are glued together and the rivets are attached after the glue has dried. The last step is a wax polish.
To the camera strap
Our previous camera straps had a rivet on each side. Because they are screw rivets, we wanted to create a strap that was unique in our shop for safety reasons, but also because of the design. That's why this strap is only available in this version of leather. The vintage rivets are also not used on any other camera strap from SEAM STRAP. Screw rivets should be tightened after a certain amount of time, which is often forgotten. With two rivets each, we offer a lower risk of a rivet coming loose. But even if a rivet comes loose, the camera is not in danger of falling over, because the leather of the camera strap is glued.
